Today I received email from Nuppu and Heikki

Hi Maria(Nuppu) and Heikki,

It is so nice to hear from you. So it is already snow in Calgary now? Luckily I do not live in Calgary.
I spent time working and sleeping, and walking in nearby mountain/lake, if I am not doing the former two task, after my true north/moose trip. It is a real headache to organze my over-a-thousand picture. So please tuned for my picture.

I wish I can go to Kananaskis too. But it seems so far away. Wish you have a good weather for your hike!

Ann.

Email to Bro 2004-09-30

So we are at Kelowna now. the bus arrived late here so sylvia does not have too much photo opportunity here. the moose went go-carting, haveing ice-cream, and wine-touring at the pyramind. Tomorrow we are heading back to Vancouver. And we need Dad to pick us up. Sylvia will arrange to have dinner with Maria. but not for sure. we can't phone her right now. hopefully at chilliwack.

>> It is confusing... so on Friday nite, are you going to eat dinner with Uncle L and us, or you will go to eat dinner with Sylvia, maria and Bee?? (actually that's up to you) Since only father CAN drive ,, so Friday nite we will only have dinner in anearby restaurant, likely be Mui Yuan on Victoria at 43rd .

Sylvia,

There is warm air-conditioning everywhere. I wear 2 pieces of chothes
now (underwear+thin short sleeves). It is now raining for 2 day and
sunny for 1 day.

Subject: flight

Ann,

My agent told me the flights on Sep 18 are very full. JAL offers me to upgrade to business class on return trip if I am willing to change my departure date to Sep 17/19. Of course, I reject their offer....

Ann,

OK. Let's decide in Nanaimo. But if we really rent a car, I prefer to
rent for the day in Tofino too. Our trip will not be restricted by the
Tofino bus schedule then.

Yes, there are some coupon for renting car.in Entertainment book.
Budget: Free car upgrade, $10 offon week end rental, $15 off on 3day weekend , rent for 2 day, get 3rd weekend day free.
Avis: Free car upgrade, $20 off 4 day-weekend rental, (15 off 3d, 10 off 2d), free gas, free weekend day on 3 or more day.
National Car: one free day on 3-day rental, one car upgrade.
Alamo: similar offer
Hertz: similar offer
Ebterprise: similar offer

Sylvia, it can be quite an experience driving a car on the ferry, if you

don;t mind a looooooong wait at the terminal (typical 2-4 hours!!)
I think my concern, if not problem, of driving is that I do not want to
driving on unfamilar road in a RAINYday. Can we be flexible about
driving to/from Victoria/Tofino?
